We are an independent organization working on agriculture for development across the East Africa Community (EAC) Region – in Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda – and more recently in the new Republic of South Sudan.

We promote regional solutions to local problems. Our aim is to make agricultural markets work better for the reduction of poverty and elimination of hunger. We bring a commercial mind-set and market understanding to agricultural development within the EAC Region.

Our long, operational experience in the region, our ability to manage viable projects, and our strong technical and institutional capabilities are backed by a committed Board and Management Team.

Our independence enables us to be impartial, and our Trust status means we operate flexibly with professionalism. Also as a regional organization in East Africa, we understand the realities and unique challenges on the ground, and are trusted by governments and other stakeholders.
