Kilimo Trust invites qualified and reputable service providers to submit technical and financial proposals for the provision of training services in Tanzania under the Women and Youth Economic Empowerment in Fisheries through Inclusive Market Access (WYEEFIMA) programme.
Training Areas
- Fish Hygienic Handling and Value Addition – hygienic processing, preservation, storage, quality management and value-added fish products.
- Seaweed Processing and Value Addition – processing, packaging, labelling, storage and development of marketable seaweed products.
- Boat and Outboard Engine Maintenance – operation, preventive maintenance, repair and safety of fishing and transport boats and outboard engines.
Scope
The selected service provider will develop training curricula, provide training materials and practical sessions, and train approximately 290 participants across Mwanza/Kagera, Kigoma/Geita, Mara, Tanga, Mtwara/Lindi and Zanzibar.
Training durations range from 5 to 6 days, depending on the thematic area. Participants will receive completion certificates recognized by NACTVET.
