Call for Proposals: Rapid Assessment of Grain Markets in Eastern Uganda

Kilimo Trust Uganda invites qualified consultants and firms to submit proposals to conduct a Rapid Assessment of Grain Markets and Mapping of Key Value Chain Actors, Including Institutional Buyers, in Eastern Uganda.
This consultancy supports the RE-GAIN Eastern Farmers (REEF) Program, funded by the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), under the project Market Led Adoption of Food Loss Reduction for Climate and Livelihoods Resilience in Uganda.
Assignment Overview
The selected consultant will:
- Map and profile key grain buyers and value chain actors in the maize and beans sector.
- Analyze sourcing practices, quality requirements, procurement systems, and purchasing capacity.
- Identify market engagement opportunities for farmer groups in Sebei and Bugisu sub-regions.
- Provide actionable insights to strengthen farmer-market linkages and improve grain quality competitiveness.

Duration
The assignment will run for 30 days from contract signing.
