The Kilimo Trust Board of Trustees, led by the Chairman Bruce Scott, recently visited Rwanda to engage with partners and review impactful initiatives under projects such as Rural Youth Employment Support (R-YES) and Kungahara.
The visit, held from 23rd to 26th June 2025, was a key milestone in reinforcing partnerships that Kilimo Trust has cultivated with stakeholders over the years. It also provided a unique opportunity for the leadership team to experience firsthand the transformative impact of interventions across Rwanda.
One key highlight was a visit to a group of persons with disabilities, organized under Dukomeze Ubuzima Cooperative, which has been supported with post-harvest facilities, including an onion dryer. This support has significantly reduced losses and created additional income opportunities by allowing non-members to use the dryer.
This leadership visit reaffirmed Kilimo Trust’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable agricultural transformation across the region. The board was accompanied by the organization's senior management team, including team leaders and departmental managers.
